RES Course is the stepping stone to be a Real Estate Salesperson (RES)
Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Course is a compulsory prepatory course for aspiring Real Estate Salespersons to undergo.
All Aspiring Real Estate Salespersons must complete the RES Course conducted by a CEA Approved Course Provider (ACP), before taking the industry RES Examinations.
Cost to be a RES (inclusive of GST)
1) RES course fees $800+ less: Skills fund $500, less: NTUC UTAP (for NTUC member $250. NETT fess: less than $100 (est).
2) RES exam fees: $149.80 per paper x 2 papers = $300 (est)
3) CEA license fees: $400 (est)

RES Course consist of 20 lessons of which applicants must fulfill at least 75% of attendance to qualify for the Certificate of Completion.
Attending the RES Course and passing the RES Examination do not automatically qualify an individual to be a real estate salesperson.

The RES Examination have two papers (Paper 1 & Paper 2), 2.5 hours each paper.
PAPER 1 (100 marks)
Section A: 70 MCQs (50 marks)
Section B: 15 MCQs with reference 1 or 2 case studies (30 marks)
Section C: 10 Fill in the blank short answer questions (20 marks)

Unit 2 Basic Land Law Concepts and Dealings with Interemarsts in Land
PAPER 2 (100 marks)

Unit 4 Property Transactions – Laws and Practices
Note: Candidates must pass both the papers then can qualify to register with CEA for your RES license. If you fail 1 of the 2 papers, you can re-take only that paper.

The RES examination results are released 4 – 6 weeks after the examination is held, and is subject to delays due to unforseen circumstances.
Your Certificate of RES course completion certificate is valid for 2 years only. If you do not register with any agency within the 2 years, your Certificate of RES course completion will be invalid and you have to retake RES course all over again.
Similary, if you have registered with an agency then stopped practicing and did not renew your CEA license within the next 2 years, you have to retake your RES course.
Also, if you have left the industry and rejoin within the 2 years period, you have to fullfill all the outstanding CPD points.
RES EXAMINATION SCHEDULES:
3 SCHEDULES A YEAR IN FEB, JUN, OCT
NOTE: Registration for the respective examination schedules starts about one month before the examination schedule month. So please register early, before the closing date. Its important to register early cause the closing date will be move forward once it reaches full capacity.
